Hey, folks!  I know the website hasn't had any new news lately, so I'm here to bring you a little bit of information about what the group has been up to these past few months.
 
We did a couple performances during the holdiay season, including a performance at the Drexel Holiday Party where we did a couple of our standard numbers as well as a Christmas a cappella piece.  We were warmly received and we had a lot of fun!
 
As far as music goes, we are planning on keeping around a few of our favorite pieces from the past year, but we are also working on a number of new songs that will be unveiled at our Spring concert.  We'll have more information on the concert in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out!

An Introduction
  8 to the Bar is the only all male A Cappella group at Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA). Founded in 1997 as Drexel’s first recognized A Cappella group, we are in our 12th year of making sweet A Cappella music.

   The most unique thing about our group is that we come from various majors, ethnicities, and backgrounds. This presents us with the challenge of finding music that fits with the whole group. Instead of just doing the top 10 songs on the radio, or songs that have been overplayed to death - we try to mix it up. We sing contemporary music from all genres. We’ve had set lists where we’ve gone from Hippy to Heavy Metal, Pop to Classic Rock, Reggae to Classical, and Oldies to Modern Rock. With such a wide variety, we have no doubt you’ve heard at least one of our songs – and we’ll probably introduce you to a few artists you haven’t, but would like to hear more of.

   If you're a member of another A Cappella group and would like to invite us to sing at your university/college feel free to Contact Us. We're always on the lookout for a good show.

   Also, ladies, if you're interested in singing A Cappella and you think that this is the only group here at Drexel University, think again!
